My Animal Book!

This is my book of animals. It has pictures of all kinds of different animals. Tonight Mommy and Daddy read it to me three times! They even told me the different sounds the animals make. I loved looking at the pictures and stayed very focused on each page the whole time. Mom said I have good concentration skills for a three month old! I wonder if I will be able to focus this much when there are numbers on the page? Math? What do you think Papaw?

The Feast of Dedication!

Hannukah is a celebration of when the Lord caused one day's worth of oil to last 8 days in the dedication of the temple. So, it is traditional to light one candle every night for 8 days. The Hannukiah has 9 candles. One is the servant candle and it is used to light the other 8 candles. Here is a picture of our Hannukiah on Day 2. We also lit two old oil lamps. The kind that were used in Jesus' day. We put olive oil inside and lit the wicks. Pretty neat huh? These are the type of lamp spoken of in the parable of the ten virgins. Keep your lamp full of oil!!!

It is also customary to give gifts everyday for 8 days. So, my first Hannukah gift was a ball with a jingle bell inside. I like to watch it roll around and also put it in my mouth.

Mr. Dubes!

A pretty fun guy! I think I like him!

CHIPS!

Hmmmm? So what are these anyway?

Maybe I should just give these a little try.

Oh no! Caught in action!

Daddy's Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!
My Daddy turned 28 so we celebrated!
The theme of our day was "FULL TO OVERFLOWING". It is a phrase that is significant to Dad. So, for breakfast mom made a yummy Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles that was FULL TO OVERFLOWING! It even had a candle in it!

This was my gift for Daddy. MY FOOTPRINTS!

Daddy's friend Ruben came for dinner and cake! Daddy calls him "DUBES". He's really funny. He sure like to talk about his fiance!

This is the birthday cake. It has a cup on the top of it and the cake says, "Full to Overflowing"

And we finished off the day by reading Dad's new book that Mom got for him.

It was a fun day!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

at the pool!

Mommy and me took daddy to a place where he could play tennis and swim for his birthday! I didn't go in the water, but I sure liked looking at it! See how good I'm holding my head up!

Hannahs and Samuels

Every week mom and I do a watch at the pavilion prayer tower called, "Hannahs and Samuels". It's a watch for moms to bring their young children and teach them to worship the Lord. I am only three months old and I am learning to worship the Lord. Here are some pictures!

A day in An Karem

On Saturday we to an area on the other side of Jerusalem called, "An Karem." It's where John the Baptist was born. We went to visit an orphanage that cares for mentally handicapped children. Many of the children there are not able to talk, but they sure smiled big when they saw me. It brought them joy that we went to visit them!

Then my daddy's friend took us to a beautiful place where we could see the Hills of Bether. (For those of you who study Song of Solomon... here are some pictures of those Hills.) And that's me in the snuggly!

I was a very good boy. Very calm and peaceful. Until we were about three blocks from home. Then I started to cry a whole lot! It was a long day to be away from my crib. I was very happy when mom laid me down to sleep!!!! I am becoming a good lil traveler though. And I guess that's a good thing with a long flight across the ocean only weeks away!
