I'm two months old now!

As of October 30th I turned two months old! WOW, can you believe how fast I'm growing?! My parents say I am getting cuter and cuter everyday... in fact, Mom didn't want to put me back to sleep after my morning feeding so she was just rocking me and cuddling with me. She tries to take it all in and treasure these moments because they won't last long.

Tonight Dad had a prayer watch at the prayer tower and mom was filling in for a watch at Succat Hallel so I went with Mom tonight an we did the watch together.

First we rode on the bus.
"Ding, Ding, I ride the Bus". Thanks for the good quote cousin Lukas!

Then I "hung" around with mom during the worship time. (pun intended)

Then Daddy came to pick us up and walk us home since it was after midnight. Our Night Watch friends Red and Jude bought me a Lamb's skin. (Shown in picture) It's really soft and cuddly. I'm going to play on it tomorrow!!

I found my thumb!

I'm a talkin boy now!

Well, I've been trying out my communication skills lately and I think I'm getting quite good at it. I've made friends with my lion friend, Roarie and with Mr. Cow! Nobody told me about the no talkin in church rule so mom had to take me to the nursery because I was telling the whole place all about everything and everything.

Mom can't get the videos on the website, but you can see some videos of me trying out my language skills at the below links.

House of Prayer...

Here are some pictures of me during our weekly LePage family prayer watches! Now when Rick Ridings announces our watch he says, "Jonathan, Sara AND MICAH will be doing this watch." I get to be a part of it too. Yesterday Daddy let me make sounds into the microphone. It was fun to hear my voice echo in the speakers... it made me smile. Sometimes I compete for being the center of attention... but most of the time I just sleep. The best place to sleep is on my daddy in the snuggli whether he's prayer leading or playing piano. I sure do like it at the house of prayer. I guess I better get used to it... we spend a lot of time there!

My new hat

This is my new hat for the coming cold weather! It says PIOLET on it just like my jacket from Nonnie. Pretty cool huh? I'm a little flying boy!

It's getting cooler in Jerusalem

The weather is cooling down quite a bit in Jeru Land. I can't wear onesies to bed anymore and I actually have to get bundled in the evenings. We already had our first rain of the season! So, in preparation of the colder weather coming Mom decided to try on the cold weather gear. haha It's pretty warm, Mom, but I think I have some more growing to do before this one will work.

Micah News Update!

Guess what you guys... I'm gonna be a baby actor in a video next week. All the practicing at home is paying off.. haha. There is a kids' hebrew worship video being filmed and I get to be in one of the songs! And guess where it's going to be filmed... In the Ben Hinnom valley of course! That's where I was dedicated. The place where babies were once dedicated to the false god, molech. Isn't that exciting? Well, I've been practicing for my big day some more with mommy so she'll be posting some new video soon! Hooray! I'd be glad to make autogrpahs (or maybe I should stick with the handprints) available to anyone who so desires!

Signed- the cute, adorable, sweetheart, little Micah Boy.

Daddy

Ready for my bath!

Have I mentioned how much I love bath time? Well, I do! But, I'm growing too big for the sink! I guess I'll have to graduate from sink bathing soon. At least my bath robe still fits!

just a lil' sweetheart!

trip to the park

On Wednesday afternoons we have family time, so today we went to the park on a picnic! I went down the slide`with daddy and sat on the teeter totter with mom. They kept telling me it was so much fun! I think they had more fun than me. hehe
Tom and Hil, thanks for the lion outfit. It fit today...I wonder if it will fit tomorrow. I'm growing fast!!!!

My first Slide

Exhilarating... for real! Can't you tell by the look on my face?!
Mom needs to hold the camera at the right angle...sorry you have to watch is sideways.

The Mommy Lady

So I learned quickly that Mommy is the lady who has the milk, but I am learning even quicker that mommies have more than milk.... they have lots of love, endless kisses and well....
my mom sure thinks I'm pretty great!

My Gorilla Friend.... I think.

So, today I was in my playpen when mom was cooking dinner and I noticed there was an unexpected visitor to the right side of my face. I'm not quite sure what I think of this guy yet... as you can see in the clip. Listen close at the end... oops!

A note from my mommy.

As you probably know there are dozens of various theories out there for child rearing and I have enjoyed reading about the various opinions on training your baby to go to sleep. I have two books on the coffee table right now speaking of two opposite opinions. One along the lines of feeding on demand and sleeping your baby in bed with you. The other, feeding the baby on a schedule and teaching him to soothe himself to sleep. We have decided that having Micah on a schedule is the best option for our family.
So, I have been working with Micah for a couple of weeks now to soothe himself to sleep. He has done pretty well from the beginning although I have had to let him cry a few times, but not as much as I thought I would. He usually only cries when he's really tired and frustrated about it. Well tonight after dinner I went and laid Micah in the crib, turned on his "Baby Praise" music, gave him a few pats on the back and left. (Not even using a pacifier anymore. He seems more calm without it). About 20 minutes later I went back in to check on him. He was still awake!!! Not crying, not fussing, not squirming... just looking at the sheep on the bumpers around the crib. He moved his head to the other side a few times for a change of scenery I suppose. It was one of the sweetest moments. Watching my sweet little baby boy just lay there calmly as he slowly drifted to sleep was one of those beautiful moments I will always remember.

The little man is sleeping through the night now and doing great on his daily schedule. He's growing like crazy! It's just amazing. I had to put his newborn things away today as he has grown out of them and is wearing mostly 3-6 month things already. Of course, they fit him perfect in length, but continue to be a little baggy around the neck and torso. haha Looks like I'm gonna be passed up in height in no time. I'll have two tall boys running around my house and me just a little 5 foot wonder with a strained neck from looking up all the time. haha

Oh well... you'd be proud of Micah. He's doing so well.
I planned to post some video today, but I'm having problems getting it uploaded. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

Busy week !

Sorry it has been so long everyone. We LePage's have had quite a busy week! Last Sunday was the national day of prayer for Jerusalem. Dad, Mom and I went to a large televised gathering here in the city... I was dressed up like a safari boy. Everyone thought I was so cute.
Don't you think?

Then on Monday we went to stay at a convent for a night to spend some time before the Lord in personal prayer and worship. I slept in my little pack and play... thanks, Nonnie. It's finally paying off! We've been in the prayer room lots this week since I am learning to sleep in my stroller too! Tonight during Mommy and Daddy's watch I slept the whole time! When I woke up I got to practice praying on the microphone. My communication skills are growing in numerous ways!
Tonight was also Rosh Chohesh! It's the celebration of the beginning of the month on the Hebrew calendar. We always go to Succat Hallel on this night for a time of worship. It is traditional to blow the silver trumpet on the first night of the month.... thought I should start practicing for that too! Well, it sure has been a fun week. Mom will post some videos of me tomorrow! Love you guys.

Happy Birthday, Pappy Buzz!

And just for you a picture to bring back fond memories of your baby girl, my Mommy! (This was her outfit). She said not to tell Daddy that she posted this picture because he says this is a girlie outfit. Dad, it's not a beauty contest. (Now, where did I learn that from?)
Hope you have a great birthday, Pappy... wish I could eat some cake with you! Maybe next year.

The process of waking up.

Ahhhh! Sleeping in daddy's arms.

Oh no... they're starting to wake me up! Try to keep sleeping.

Ok, ok... I'm waking up. Give me a chance to organize my face.

Oh no.. mom, you've got the camera out! It's gonna be rough having a photographer for a mom.

Ok, I'm awake... happy now?

Coach Papaw... this one's for you!

I've been trying my hand at some basketball lately! I heard that my Papaw will teach me how to "put that book on the top shelf" (Get a basket) someday.

I'm all ready for practice!

Daddy, I think I'm gonna need your help for awhile... can I be on your team?

I'll be dribbling down the court in no time!
